The good news is that they can install most of their favorite tweaks including iFile using Cydia Impactor.
However, one thing should be kept in mind that to perform some of its most important functions, iFile needs root access of your device. Since you don’t have Jailbreak for iOS 10, don’t expect iFile for iOS 10 to perform all of the above mentioned functions. If you install iFile for iOS 10, you will get limited features of iFile but at least you’d get some freedom with your newly upgraded device.
Install iFile on iOS 10 iPhone/iPad without Jailbreak
To install iFile on iOS 10 without Jailbreak, you’ll need to get Cydia Impactor and side load .ipa file for iFile in it.
- Download the .ipa file for iFile for iOS 10.
- Go to http://www.cydiaimpactor.com/
- Download and launch Cydia Impactor.
- Connect your iPhone or iPad with your computer.
- Wait for Cydia Impactor to find your device.
- Drag and drop .ipa file for iFile for iOS 10 in Cydia Impactor.
- Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
- iFile for iOS 10 will now install on your device.
- Go to Settings > General > Profile and Device Management
- Find the profile for iFile.
- Tap Trust.
You will find iFile icon on your iPhone/iPad Home Screen and you can launch iFile for iOS 10 right away. You will find that the interface is identical to your familiar iFile for jailbroken devices. However, you will find that the features are limited as expected.
The downer is that you will have to repeat the exact process to install iFile for iOS 10 every seven days. This is because Cydia Impactor lets you sideload tweaks in your iOS 10 device using Apple’s free developer account. But Apple’s free developers’ access expires after a week. You can sign-in for Apple’s developer account as many times as you want but your session expires every seven days. Hence to install iFile for iOS 10 device without Jailbreak you need to repeat the above steps every week.
